Shreaves, Commissioner, sold 78 acres near Modest Town to George Thomas Bundick for $1,550..6 George bought land on 6 November 1865 at Accomack Co, VA. This deed shows him buying an additional 21 acres adjacent to his first purchase, from David D. Abbott and wife Mary M. for $600. This land was across the road from the east end of Nelsonia as it meets Metompkin Road. This became the family burying plot where he, his second wife Drucilla, two of their daughters and several grandchildren who died young are buried. After his death the 100 acre farm was bought by William Thomas Bundick, son of William James Bundick and brother of Asa J. Bundick for $9040. George Thomas Bundick's three oldest sons were left land between the Alms House, present Accomack County Nursing Home, and Parksley in 1856, by their maternal grandfather, Thomas Hickman. This land, called Powell Land, was sold by Thomas Bundick and wife Mary to brothers Richard J. and William P. Bundick in 1884 and was purchased from William P. and wife Mary T. by brother Richard J. in 1889..7 George died on 16 February 1905.2 His body was interred at Bundick Cem, Modest Town, Acc Co, VA.2

He was granted a permit to marry people on 25 May 1863 (Acc Co Orders, 1862-65, p. 83). Reverend John E. Bundick died in 1897 at the age of 78 years (Pen. Ent.). John was born circa 1822 at Accomack Co, VA.2 He was the son of Edmund Bundick and Polly Topping Topping(?). He married Leah Bloxom Bloxom? circa 1848.2 John was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as John E. The deed showed that John E. Bundick bought a small piece of land from John T. Bloxom and wife for $25. The deed does not give the acreage, but this plot was bordered by other lands of John E. Bundick. Since a deed of his buying land before 1851 has not been found, his wife Leah must have inherited family land and might have been a Bloxom..3 John was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1860 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as the head of HH#692, age 37 and a carpenter, with a wife Leah, age 35 and a son Asa, age 6 and a daughter Margaret A., age 4..4 John land was surveyed on 26 April 1866 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that John E. Bundick's land was surveyed as 8 1/4 acres, "one mile northwest of Modest Town." In later years it became known as Buzzard Hill and can be located today on U.S. Route 13 north of Nelsonia, opposite the Pepsi Cola Bottling Plant. It contained 35 acres on 28 Mar 1933, when his son, Asa T. Bundick and wife Sue A. deeded it to their son. There is a graveyard in back of the house that at one time had tombstones, but none are showing today. John's obituary states he was buried there..5 He married Anna Wright on 10 May 1896 at Accomack Co, VA.6 John died on 23 April 1897 at Accomack Co, VA.7
