While there is no record of Ann Warrington's marriage to George Bundick, from later deeds it is clear that she was Ann Warrington, who inherited Warrington land "on Assawoman." She was called Ann and Nancy in the deeds and Nanney Warrington by Tabitha Warrington, who named her and Elizabeth Warrington as grandchildren in her will, written 28 Mar 1768 and recorded on 27 Aug 1771 (Acc Co Wills, 1767-1772, p. 573). While Tabitha Warrington did not mention land in her will, she did name an only surviving son, George Warrington. Stephen Warrington died testate in 1745 naming his wife as Tabitha and five sons, the youngest of whom was George (Acc Co Wills, 1743-1749, p. 239). He left 40 acres to his eldest son, Abbott Warrington. Abbott Warrington left his land to his son Stephen in 1760 (Acc Co Wills, 1757-1761, p. 282). Abbott Warrington, wife Elizabeth, also had a son John, a daughter Betty, and an unborn child. The unborn child apparently was Ann "Nancy/Nanney" Warrington and she and her sister Elizabeth "Betty" inherited the land at the death of their brothers. Ann was born circa 1750 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Abbott Warrington and Elizabeth Millechoppe. Ann was living on 23 March 1768 at Accomack Co, VA.1 She married George 'of Metompkin' Bundick circa 1775.2

On 2 Jan 1819, George W. Bundick and wife Elizabeth sold to John W. Watson, for $500, 170 acres "in the neighborhood of Assawoman," land bound by Arthur Watson, by Thomas Abbott, deceased, and by John Finney, deceased (Acc Co Deeds, 1818-1819, p. 241). George W. Bundick would have been the male in his father's household in the 1800 census, under 10 years, and in 1810, aged 10 to 16. In 1820, he was listed as head of a household at 18 to 26 years of age. He then had a wife of 16 to 26 years and a son under 10 years. By 1830, his age was given as 30 to 40 years, as was that of his wife. Their household included a son of 10 to 15 years and another, aged 5 to 10 years. They also had a daughter of 5 to 10 years. In the 1840 census, George W. Bundick was 40 to 50 years old. His wife was also 40 to 50 and one son was 15 to 20, while another was 20 to 30, and a daughter was 15 to 20. In 1850, George W. Bundick's age was given as 52 (56?). He was then living in the household of John Longsdale, as a tutor. His wife was deceased by 1842 (Acc Co Deeds, 1842-1843, p. 140). George W. Bundicks "son of George" died on 6 Nov 1854 at 54 (60?), as reported by a friend, Edward Hickman (Acc co Reg. of Deaths, p. 6). His occupation was here given as "Surveyor." John A. Bundick was named to administer the estate of George W. Bundick on 26 Feb 1855 (Acc Co Orders, 1854-1857, p. 179). George W. Bundick had been appointed Acc Co Surveyor and took the oath of office on 31 Mar 1840 (Acc Co Orders, 1840-1842, p. 11). On 28 May 1830, Jacob Warner, trustee, transferred to John A. Bundick and William H. Bundick, "the heirs at law of Elizabeth Bundick, wife of George W. Bundick, 20 acres of land near Metompkin (Acc Co Deeds, 1829-1830, p. 515). This land was bordered northeast by George P. Barnes, west and northwest by the sea side county road, south and southwest by lands of John Snead and east by George P. Barnes. George W. Bundick and wife Elizabeth had sold 52 acres "near Metompkin" to Jacob Warner on 8 Jan 1824, for $450 (Acc Co Deeds, 1822-1824, p. 539). The deed states that this was land that had become Elizabeth's at the death of her father, Richard Hickman, and was bound on the east by Metompkin Bay. George W. Bundick was a Colonel in the 99th Regiment of Accomack County Militia by 1830. In Jan 1840, he assumed command of the 99th Regiment in Upper Accomack County (Acc Parish). He resigned his commission by 1843 (Pungoteague to Petersburg, Vol. I, pp. 118, 119, 138). George was born circa 1798 at Accomack Co, VA.2 He was the son of George 'of Metompkin' Bundick and Ann 'Nancy|Nanney' Warrington. He married Elizabeth Hickman on 25 October 1816 at Accomack Co, VA. Levi Dix was the security on the M.L.B. of George W. Bundick and Elizabeth Hickman..3 George was listed with another family in the cenus of in 1850 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Geo. W. Bundick, age 52 and a tutor, in HH#1046 headed by Jno. Langsdale, age 42, born in MD and a farmer with real estate valued at $3,000. There were several young children in the household.. George died on 6 November 1854 at Accomack Co, VA. The death register shows him as age 54 and dying of old age. His occupation was surveyor.      John "Long" Bundick was most likely named for his maternal grandfather, John Nock. He was born near Gargatha and raised on the land his father had been deeded in 1728 by Richard Bundick (II). As a younger son, John Bundick inherited no land from his father. John Bundick would have been of age to have married by 1755. John Bundick was the first Bundick to live in St. George Parish, the southern parish of Accomack County. Apparently he lived southeast of Accomac on his father-in-law's land during his first marriage and moved to the land his second wife owned circa 1774. This land "on Burton's Branch" would have been between Melfa and Onley and east of U.S. 13. John Bundick is shown in St. George Parish by the 1787 personal property tax lists when he was called "Long John." He was also on the 1788 tax list as "Long Jno." The 1800 Federal Census lists "John Bundick, Long" as over 45 years, still the only Bundick in St. George Parish. His household included two other males, one 10 to 16 years and the other 16 to 26 years old. Two females were both 16 to 26 years old. Apparently he had lost his second wife by 1800. John Bundick made his will on 4 October 1796. He gave "unto my two sons George Bundick and John Bundick all my lands and for it to be equally divided between them." If either should die without an heir then the other should have his half. If both George and John should die without heirs, the land was to go "unto my Grandson William Bundick Reed," then to grandson Laben Phillips. He loaned his wife Sarah his "Riding Chear" and after her death or marriage it was to go to his two sons. Daughter Nancy Phillips inherited "one beehive." Daughter Susanna Outten was loaned "all the articles that she carried away which is one bed and furniture one linen wheel one iron pot" and these were to go to her son William Outten after her death. He gave son George "my shooting Gun" and son John "ten dollars cash to buy him a Gun." Grandson William Outten was to have five pounds for "Schooling." The remainder of his estate was to be divided between his wife & Sarah and sons George and John. Wife & Sarah and son George were to be executors A complete transcription of the will of John "Long" Bundick follows - In the name of God Amen. I, John Bundick of the County of Accomack and State of Virginia being very sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for it taking into mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed once for all men to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say, first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hand of God, my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a christian like and decent manner at the direction of my friends and as touching(?) such worldly estate as where with it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give and adorn and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. [Item] I give unto my two sons George Bundick and John Bundick all my land and first to be equally divided between them and for they and their heirs to enjoy if forever and if either George Bundick or John Bundick should die without a lawfully heir begotten of their body, then I give unto either George Bundick or John Bundick which it be that lives, the other half of my land and for he and his heirs to enjoy if forever and if my two sons George Bundick and John Bundick should both die without a lawful heir begotten of their body I give unto my grandson William Bundick Read all my land and for he and his heirs to enjoy it forever and if William Bundick Read should die without a lawful heir begotten of his body I give unto my grandson Laben Phillips all land and for he and his heirs to enjoy it forever. [Item] I lend unto my loving wife Sarah Bundick my riding chear as long as she lives (as) my widow and after her death or marriage I give my said riding chear unto my tow sons George Bundick and John Bundick and for it to be equally divided between them and for they and their heirs to enjoy it forever. I give unto my daughter Nancy Phillips one beehive. [Item] I lend unto my daughter Susannah Outten all the articles that she carried away which is one bed and furniture one linen wheel one iron pot as long as she lives and after her death I give these same articles one bed and furniture one linen wheel and one iron pot unto her child named William Outten and for he and his heirs to enjoy them forever. [Item] I give unto my son George Bundick my shouting gun. [Item] I give unto my son John Bundick ten dollars cash to buy him a gun. [Item] I give unto my grandson William Bundick Read five pounds cash and for it to be paid out upon him in nothing else but schooling and all the rest of my estate I desire equally divided between my wife Sarah Bundick and my son George Bundick and my son John Bundick and for they and their heirs to enjoy it forever. I leave my wife Sarah Bundick and my son George Bundick sole executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 4th day of Oct in the year of our Lord 1796. (Signed by his X mark and seal:) John Bundick. (Witnessed by:) William James and Abel Badger (their X marks). At a court held for Accomack County Oct 27 1800 the said last will and testament of John Bundick dec'd. was proved by the oath of Abel Badger a witness thereto and on the motion of George Bundick taking oath and giving Teackle Elliott & Charles Elliott as security (Acc Co Wills, 1800-1804, p. 342). On 7 Jul 1801, George Bundick and John Bundick deeded to John Shephard Ker and William Seymour, for 81 pounds 5 shillings, 100 acres "land devised by John Bundick, dec'd, father of George and John." The land was bordered by lands of James Kellam, Benjamin Floyd, George Taylor and William Gibb (Acc Co Deeds, 1800-1804, p. 139). Both George and John were unmarried as no wives signed the deed. This was apparently a mortgage, as two other deeds followed. On 31 Aug 1802, George Bundick and wife Rachel sold to Littleton Ward 50 acres in St. George Parish for "100 pounds in gold and silver" (Acc Co Deeds, p. 364), land bound north by William Gibb Senr, north-east by James Kellam, southeast by Benjamin Floyd, and southwest by Burton's Branch joining land of George Taylor. On 27 Jan 1803, John Bundick of John (unmarried) deeded to Littleton Ward 50 acres of land with the same boundaries, for 100 pounds of gold and silver (Acc Co Deeds, p. 363). John was born circa 1732 at Gargatha, Acc Co, VA. He was the son of Richard Bundick (III) and Ann Nock. He married Beersheba Wimbrough circa 1755.2,3 John was living on 26 November 1766 at Accomack Co, VA.4 He married Sarah Whaley in 1774.5 John died in 1800.6 John's will was probated on 27 October 1800 at Accomack Co, VA.6

On 29 March 1774, John Bundick Junior, and Sarah his wife, "daughter and heir of Thomas Whaley," gave a deed of trust to Richard Bundick, Junior (his brother Richard (IV) or "Piper"), "for five shillings sterling of Great Britain" for 100 acres of land on Burton's Branch in the Parish of St. George. The said John and Sarah were to keep possession of the land during their lives (Acc Co Deeds, 1770-1777, p. 287). When Richard Bundick (IV) died in 1790, his will directed that his brother John Bundick have "the plantation where he now lives, which was conveyed to me by his wife Sarah, which was the widow of James Foster" (Acc Co Wills, 1788-1794, p. 306).      John B. Bundick was age 36 years when he married his wife, who was only 18 years old. On 27 Jul 1847, John B. Bundick bought, for $825, from Thomas F. Floyd and wife Margaret E., their interest in 67 acres (Acc Co Deeds, 1846-1848, p. 523). This land was bordered west by Matchapungo Creek, east by "the Broadwater" (present Upshurs Bay), north by Joshua Burton and south by Elizabeth Barnes' land. The deed of 1857, to John B. Bundick from his father, for 23 acres in Bradford Neck, gives the same boundaries on the east and west. On 17 May 1866, John B. Bundick bought at public auction 96 acres for $2,400 (Acc co Deeds, 1865-1867, p. 474), land bordered on the west by Matchapungo Creek, east by Broadwater, and south by Nathaniel Lecato. He then owned 186 acres in Bradford Neck, between Wachapreague and Quinby, and his land appears to have been the land his mother Jane inherited from her father, Zephaniah Bradford, in 1790 and that of his uncle Abel Bradford (Whitelaw, pp. 771/2). John B. Bundick sold 54 acres to Francis S. Smith on 27 Mar 1885, for $1,230 (Acc Co Deeds, 1884-1885, p. 327). This was apparently the Garrison land he inherited from his father. The 1850 Federal Census shows John B. Bundick at 40 years, a farmer, in household #933 in St. George Parish. His wife, Margaret E., was 23. Their household included three children: William at 3 years, Mary J. a 1-year-old, and Elizabeth S. of 2 months. By 1860, there were five other children: Susan at 7 years, John F. at 5 years, Charles B. at 4 years, James E. at 2 years and Margaret R. at 7 months. In 1870, John B. Bundick was 60 years of age and still farming. His older son was no longer in his household, but there were three additional children: Amanda A. at 9 years, Fluranna J. at 7 years and George E.L. at 3 years. The 1880 census lists John B. Bundick, a 70-year-old farmer, in household #207/237 of Pungoteague District. His wife Margaret E. Bundick was 52 and eight of their children were living at home, the youngest being George E. at 13 years. George W. LeCato was named to administer the estate of John B. Bundick on 25 Jun 1888 (Acc Co Orders, 1886-1889, p. 552). On 31 Jul 1888, the children of John B. Bundick "lately deceased," deeded to George W. LeCato, Trustee, the land they inherited from their father in Bradford's Neck, three tracts bound northwest by Machipongo Creek, southeast by Upshur's Broadwater, northeast by George W. James and southwest by the heirs of William LeCato, deceased (Acc Co Deeds, Bk 60, p. 31). George W. Lecato, Trustee, sold lot #3 to John T. Powell, on 25 Oct 1888, as 61 acres for $700 (Acc Co Deeds, Bk 60, p. 230). He sold lot #2 to Benjamin T. Eichelberger on the same date, 67 acres for $1,406 (Acc Co Deeds, Bk 60, p. 234). On 18 Nov 1889, George W. LeCato, trustee of the estate of John B. Bundick, sold lot #1, 23 acres, to Charles B. Bundick for $655 (Acc Co Deeds, Bk 67, p. 503). Charles B. Bundick and wife Virgie B. sold this 23 acres, "land near Quinby in Bradford's Neck" to James A. Eichelberger on 17 Jun 1911 for $1,250 (Acc Co Deeds, Bk 97, p. 363). The obituary of John B. Bundick appeared in the 2 Jun 1888 issue of The Peninsula Enterprise under Wachapreague news. It states he was of Bradford's Neck and left 11 children. John B. Bundick is buried in a family plot called "Old Homestead," slightly north of present-day Quinby. John was born on 19 January 1810 at Accomack Co, VA.2 He was the son of John S. 'of Long' Bundick and Jane 'Jinney' Bradford. He married Margaret E. Floyd on 8 April 1846 at Accomack Co, VA.3 John was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1850 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as John B. Bundick the head of HH#933, age 40 and a farmer with real estate valued at $1,000. With him were his wife Margaret E., age 23 and children: William, age 3; Mary J., age 1 and Elizabeth S., age 2/12. Also living with him was John Bradford, age 16..4 John was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1860 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as the head of HH#944, age 50 and a farmer, with a wife Margt. E., age 32 and children: Wm. S., age 13; Mary J., age 11; Elizt., age 10; Susan, age 7; John F., age 5; Charles B., age 4; James E., age 2; and Margt. R., age 7/12. Also living with him were 3 black farm laborers..5 John was living on 14 February 1861 at Accomack Co, VA.1 John died on 28 May 1888 at age 78.2 His body was interred at Old Homestead Cem, Quinby, Acc Co, VA.2
