     In 1824, Staton Taylor died intestate and there was a division among his heirs. A daughter Sarah Ann Taylor recieved the house and 21 acres (Whitelaw tract A121 near Modest Town and Gragatha). Sarah A. married Robert P. Broadwater, whom she survived, and in 1841 she sold the house and 90 acres to William Pettit, son of Thomas (Whitelaw, p. 1172). Sarah was born circa 1800 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Staton Taylor. Sarah was living in 1824 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ She married Robert P. Broadwater circa 1830.¹

     Edward was born circa 1802 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Staton Taylor. Edward was living in 1824.¹

     Harriet was born circa 1804 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Staton Taylor. Harriet was living in 1824.¹

     Robert was born circa 1800. He married Sarah Ann Taylor circa 1830.¹ Robert died before 1841.¹

     Esther was born circa 1770 at Accomack Co, VA. She married Southy Broadwater on 19 October 1791 at Accomack Co, VA.¹

     Peggy was born circa 1770 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Jacob Broadwater. She married John Nock (I) on 18 December 1797 at Accomack Co, VA.²

     In his will, dated 16 Apr 1806, John Broadwater named a brother Robert Broadwater to be executor, a sister Polly Broadwater, and a brother-in-law John Nock. To John Nock's 3 children, Samuel, John and Sally. Witnesses were Zadock Davis, Zadock Nock and Elijah Nock. At probate Zadock Nock and Levin Bloxom were securities (Acc Co Wills & c., p. 218).      In her will, dated 17 Nov 1810, Polly Broadwater left to Anne Lilleston daughter of Edmon Lilleston and Sally his wife and to Sally and Polly Nock, duaghters of John Nock and Peggy his wife. John Nock was to be executor. Witnesses were William Conquest and Comfort Walker. At probate Levin Bloxom and John Taylor were securities (Acc Co Wills, 1809-12, p. 294). Polly was born circa 1776 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Jacob Broadwater. Polly was living on 16 April 1806 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Polly died in January 1811.³ Polly's will was probated on 28 January 1811 at Accomack Co, VA.³

     Polly was born circa 1804 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of John Nock (I) and Peggy Broadwater. Polly was living on 1 March 1831 at Accomack Co, VA.¹

     Samuel was born circa 1798 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of John Nock (I) and Peggy Broadwater. He married Sally Bunting on 28 February 1820 at Accomack Co, VA. Noah Jones was the security on the M.L.B. of Samuel Nock of John and Sally Bunting of Jana (Jno.?)..² Samuel was living on 1 March 1831 at Accomack Co, VA.³

     In his will, dated 6 Apr 1820, Robert J. Broadwater named a wife Elizabeth and mentioned children, but not by name. Friend George Warner Jr. to be executor. Witnesses were Sarah Sparrow, Hetty West and Jacob Saunders. At probate Jacob Warner and Wittington B. Pool were securities (Acc Co Wills &c., 1819-21, p. 283). Robert was born circa 1772 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Jacob Broadwater. Robert was living on 16 April 1806 at Accomack Co, VA.² He married Elizabeth 'Betsy' Riggs on 8 June 1807 at Accomack Co, VA.³ Robert died in 1820.⁴ Robert's will was probated on 30 October 1820 at Accomack Co, VA.⁴

     Elizabeth was born circa 1785. She married Robert J. Broadwater on 8 June 1807 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Elizabeth was living on 6 April 1820 at Accomack Co, VA.²

     Nancy was born circa 1780. She married John Broadwater on 28 April 1807 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Nancy's will was probated on 3 June 1819 at Accomack Co, VA. In her undated will, probated 3 Jun 1819, Nancy Broadwater named a son William and daughters Rebecca and Betsy Broadwater. The youngest children were William and Rebecca. Joshua Beavens should keep all my family together until the "fall" when the property will be sold. E.H. James or William D. Marshall to be executor and one of them to act with my children to divide the property. Witnesses were Henry H. Hall, Joshua Beavans, Polly Whealton and E.H. James. At probate William Merrill qualified, as the executors named in the will relinquished their rights. John Merrill and Walter Douglass were securities (Acc Co Wills &c., 1818-19, p. 356)..² Nancy died on 3 June 1819.²

Elizabeth was living on 27 December 1830 at Accomack Co, VA.³ Elizabeth was listed with her sister in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. She was shown as Elizabeth Broadwater, age 50, in HH#825 headed by John Beavins, age 27 and a farmer and his mother, Sarah Beavins, age 60, who was her sister. Listed with them was her son James Broadwater, age 18 and a laborer. Also with them was Rebecca Jenkins, age 44, another sister, and her daughter Mary A. Jenkins, age 15..² Elizabeth was listed with her son in the census of in 1860 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. She was shown as Elizabeth Broadwater, age 65, in HH#62 headed by her son James Broadwater, age 27. They were next door to her sister's son, John W. "Bevans" age 40 and farming..

She was shown as Rebecca Jenkins, age 44, in HH#825 headed by John Beavins, age 27 and a farmer.
