He married Mary Ann Broadwater on 20 November 1838 at Accomack Co, VA.³ Edward was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Edward H. Conquest the head of HH#588, a 34 year old farmer with real estate valued at $6,100. Listed with him were the following Conquests: Mary A., age 33; Joseph Sr., age 78; Mary P., age 5; and Emma, age 4. Also listed were Elizabeth Justice, age 10 and Betty Cole, age 55 and black..² Edward died on 15 April 1889 at age 73.¹ His body was interred at Conquest Plot, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.¹
