     Ralph was born circa 1780 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Argol Hinman and Grace (-----). Ralph was living on 15 January 1788 at Accomack Co, VA.¹

     On 5 Oct 1750, Moses Hinman along with John Watson and Ezekiel Ross witnessed the will of Nathaniel Howard (Acc Co Wills, 1749-52, p. 205). On 20 Mar 1775, Moses Hinman and Nehemiah Stockley were named executors of John Hinman's will. Moses and Samuel Warren were also witnesses (Acc Co Wills, 1772-77, p. 343). On 19 Feb 1789, Moses Hinman along with William Hinman, son of Moses, and John Rigges witnessed the will of Richard Bundick (Acc Co Wills, 1788-94, p. 306). On 1 Apr 1794, John Hinman's estate was administered to Moses Hinman, with John Burton and John Moore securities (Acc Co Orders, 1793-96, p. 163). On 29 Dec 1794, Moses Hinman's estate was administered to Scarburgh Hinmam, with Joachim Milburn and Major Hinman securities (Acc Co Orders, 1793-96, p. 266).      Scarburgh was born circa 1730. She married Moses Hinman circa 1750.¹ Scarburgh was living on 29 December 1794 at Accomack Co, VA.²

     John was born circa 1705 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of James Macomb. John was living on 22 September 1722 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He made a will on 26 March 1738 at Accomack Co, VA. John Maccomb named a sister Naomi Rigs, wife of Joseph Rigs, and their son Abraham. He also named, but no relationship was given, Mary Hinman "meaning the widow," Sarah Hinman, Mary Hinman, Bayly Hinman, son of Bal: Hinman deceased. To Abraham Rigs the plantation where I now live and the balance of estate to my sister. Executor was Joseph Rigs. Witnesses were James Tolman, John Gilchrist and Southy Rew (Acc Co Wills, 1737-43, p. 139)..² John died on 26 March 1739.³ John's will was probated on 27 March 1739 at Accomack Co, VA.³

     Naomi was born circa 1708 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of James Macomb. Naomi was living on 22 September 1722 at Accomack Co, VA.² She married Joseph Riggs before 1730.^3,1

     Joseph was born circa 1710 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Abraham Riggs I and Rosanna Byrd ?. He was shown as a son Dennis C. Hinmon in the will of George C. Hinmon. George named his wife Tabitha & son Dennis Extrs. However, at probate Dennis Clayton (not Dennis Clayton Hinmon) qualified to settle the estate. For some unknown reason, Dennis and his mother Tabitha and brother George, all went by the name Clayton after this time. According to Whitelaw, even his father was often referred to in local records as simply George Clayton, instead of George Clayton Hinmon..¹ He married Susanna Riley on 12 February 1800 at Accomack Co, VA.
