He married Sarah (-----) circa 1640 at Northampton Co, VA.^1,2 He married Jane (-----) circa 1656 at Northampton Co, VA.³ He made a will on 6 August 1660 at Northampton Co, VA. John Hinman, planter, named sons John and Richard Hinman, a daughter Sarah Hinman, and a cousin Richard Bayly. To John 500 acres seat of land and plantation on Nusswattox Creek. To Richard 800 acres at Occahannock. Remaining estate to be equally divided between 3 children, John, Richard and Sarah Hinman. Son John (under 18) to live upon the plantation but not to dispose of anything except by the consent of my cousin Richard Bayly. Son John executor and my cousin Richard Bayly overseer. And I desire him to take home with him my son Richard (under 18) to see to his education. Witnesses John Tilney and Morice Matthews (N'hamp Co Deeds, Wills, etc., 1657-66, p. 76)..⁴ John died on 28 August 1660 at Northampton Co, VA.⁵ His body was interred on 29 August 1660 at Northampton Co, VA.⁵ John's will was probated on 28 November 1660 at Northampton Co, VA. In Dec 1662 the court ordered an equal division of Mr. Hinman's estate with half to go to Timothy Coe who married Mr. Hinman's daughter (N'hamp Co Orders, 1657-64, f. 146). In Richard Bayly's will, written 12 Jun 1661, Richard Bayly mentioned his kinsmen John and Richard Hinman the son of John Hinman deceased (N'hamp Co Deeds, Wills, etc., 1657-66, p. 93)..^6,4

     John was born circa 1645 at Northampton Co, VA. He was the son of John Hinman Sr. and Sarah (-----). John was named in his father's will on 6 August 1660 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as a son John Hinman in the will of John Hinman (under 18) and given my 500 acre seat of land and plantation in Nussawttox Creek.¹ John died in August 1661 at Northampton Co, VA.² His body was interred in August 1661 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as John Hinman Jr., buried Aug 1661..²

     Sarah was born circa 1646. She was the daughter of John Hinman Sr. and Sarah (-----). Sarah was living on 6 August 1660 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ She married Timothy Coe in 1662 at Northampton Co, VA.²

     Timothy was born circa 1640. He married Sarah Hinman in 1662 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ Timothy was living in December 1662 at Northampton Co, VA.¹

     Anne was born circa 1690. She married Argoll Hinman circa 1710.¹ Anne was living on 22 August 1745 at Accomack Co, VA.¹

     In his will, written 15 Jan 1788, Bayly Hinman named a wife Sarah, a daughter Margaret Hinman, a son Argol Hinman, and a grandson Ralph Hinman. To wife Sarah dwelling house during her widowhood. Daughter Margaret Hinman to have a home at said house as long as she remains single. To son Argol Hinman all the land my father gave me, the land I now live on, for 200 acres. As much of my estate to be sold as will make 10 L for my grandson Ralph Hinman, for money that I made use of out of his estate. Daughter Margaret residual legatee. Son Argol executor. Witnesses were William Young, Jonathan Mears and Argol Bloxom (Acc Co Wills, 1788-94, p. 84). Bayly was born circa 1714 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Argoll Hinman and Anne (-----). Bayly was living on 22 August 1745 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Sarah (-----) circa 1750.² Bayly died in 1788.³ Bayly's will was probated on 29 July 1788 at Accomack Co, VA.³

     Argoll was born circa 1716 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Argoll Hinman and Anne (-----). Argoll was living on 22 August 1745 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Grace (-----) circa 1750.² Argoll died in 1791.²

     Mary was born circa 1718 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Argoll Hinman and Anne (-----). She married (-----) White before 1745.^2,1 Mary was living on 22 August 1745 at Accomack Co, VA.¹

     (-----) was born circa 1715. He married Mary Hinman before 1745.^1,2

     Benjamin was born circa 1720 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Argoll Hinman and Anne (-----). Benjamin was living on 22 August 1745 at Accomack Co, VA.¹

     Mary was born circa 1690. She married Bayly Hinman circa 1715.¹ Mary was living on 5 June 1733 at Accomack Co, VA.²

     In his will, written 8 Jan 1774, Richard Hinman named daughters Leah, Rachel and Elizabeth Hinman, a sister Ann Hinman. To daughter Leah Hinman 100 acres where I now live. To daughter Rachel Hinman and Elizabeth Hinman all the reminder of my land. To sister Ann Hinman use of plantation where I live for life. 3 daughters residual legatees. Mr. James Henry and daughter Leah Hinman executors. Witnesses were William Young Sr., John Fitchett and Joshua Fitchett. In order of probate Hannah Hinman, widow of the testator relinquished any benefit under said will (Acc Co Wills &c., 1772-77, p. 328). Richard was born circa 1720 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Bayly Hinman and Mary (-----). He married Hannah (-----) circa 1740.² Richard's will was probated on 30 May 1775 at Accomack Co, VA.³ Richard died in 1775.³

     Hannah was born circa 1720. She married Richard Hinman circa 1740.¹ Hannah was living on 8 January 1774 at Accomack Co, VA.¹

     Leah was born circa 1760 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Richard Hinman and Hannah (-----). Leah was living on 8 January 1774 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ She married Southy Silverthorn circa 1780.²

     Elizabeth was born circa 1763 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Richard Hinman and Hannah (-----). Elizabeth was living on 8 January 1774 at Accomack Co, VA.¹

     Ann was born circa 1722 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Bayly Hinman and Mary (-----). Ann was living on 8 January 1774 at Accomack Co, VA.¹

     In his will, written 18 Dec 1765, Bayly Hinman named a wife Ann, daughter "Jaca" Hinman, and cousins Levin and John Hinman. To wife Ann my land during her widowhood and then to my daughter "Jaca" Hinman and for want of issue to my 2 cousins Levin and John Hinman. To Solomon Gray. Wife Ann and daughter Jaca residual legatees. Executors were John Young Sr. and wife Ann. Witnesses were William Young Sr., Elizabeth Fitchet and Ann Hinman. In order of probate Littleton Dennis guardian to the heir at law (Acc Co Wills, 1761-67, p. 603). Bayly was born circa 1724 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Bayly Hinman and Mary (-----). He married Ann Young circa 1752.^2,3 Bayly's will was probated on 20 April 1766 at Accomack Co, VA.⁴ Bayly died in 1766.⁴

     Jaquet was born circa 1752 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Bayly Hinman and Ann Young. Jaquet was living on 18 December 1765 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ She married Bartholomew (of Jon.) Mears circa 1774.²

     Nancy was born circa 1746 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of John Northam and (-----) (-----) 1w|o_John_Northam. She married Thomas Hinman circa 1765.² Nancy was named in her husband's will on 8 October 1777 at Accomack Co, VA. Nancy was named in her father's will on 6 February 1796 at Accomack Co, VA.³ Nancy died in 1799 at Accomack Co, VA.⁴ Nancy's estate was administered on 24 June 1799 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Nancy Hinman's estate was administered to George Hinman with Richard Savage and Elijah Wright securities..⁴

     George was born circa 1766 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Thomas Hinman and Nancy 'Nanney' Northam. George was living on 24 June 1799 at Accomack Co, VA.²
