     According to the deposition of Tabitha Hill, formerly Tabitha Browne, and Matilda West on 2 Jun 1708, Edmund Browne, son of Devorax Browne and Tabitha (Scarburgh) Browne, his wife, born 1660 and died in Turkey in 1678, being taken in captivity, being 18 years old or thereabouts when he died. Capt. John Martin reporting that he died, and Timothy Low saying he carried the said Browne to his grave (Acc Co Wills &c., 1692-1715 (xi), p. 440).      Edmund was born circa 1670 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Maj. Richard Bayly (II) and Mary Jones. He married Hannah [31] Scarburgh before 1696.² Edmund was named in his brother's will on 15 November 1707 at Accomack Co, VA. He was named as brother Edmund Bayly in the will of Richard Bayly Jr. and was named as one of the overseers..¹ He married Mary (12) Scarburgh circa 1717.² He made a will on 6 February 1718 at Accomack Co, VA. Edmund Bayly named a wife Mary; daughters Elizabeth Crippen and Tabitha; son Edmund (under age); and a nephew Wittington Bayly. He left all his land on the seaside containing 800 acres to his son Edmund and for want of heirs to unborn child, if a boy, but if a girl he gave 1/2 the personal estate given by this will to his son Edmund to the said child. Should his wife not be with child & his son died without issue, he gave 350 acres to his daughter Elizabeth and the remaining part of his land to his daughter Tabitha. To wife Mary all her estate that belonged to her deceased husband Charles Bayly and all legacies left her by her deceased husband. Edmund Scarburgh, Morris Shephard and Henry Scarburgh to inventory his estate. Son Edmund to be under the guide and direction of his uncle Morris Shepeard. Wife and son Edmund were executors. Witnesses were Henry Scarburgh, Morris Shepard and Seb: Cropper..³ Edmund died in March 1718.⁴ Edmund's will was probated on 2 April 1718 at Accomack Co, VA.⁴

John Stringer, remainder to his heirs, with remainder to my son William Taylor, with remainder to my daughter Winefred, formerly wife of Peter Parker, deceased To son Elias 450 acres, being the South end of said 1050 acres between Geangoteage & Assawoman Branches. To daughter Winefred, formerly wife to Peter Parker, deceased To son William land on the seaboard side between Geangoteage & Assawoman Branches, containing 800 acres, being the northermost part of said 1050 acres, also 450 acres in the woods. To my 4 grandaughters Elizabeth, Mary, Rachell & Sarah Parker, daughters of Winefred Parker. To daughter Elizabeth Ratclif & her husband Charles Rattclife. To grandaughter Elizabeth Rattclife.      Joshua was born after 1699 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was the son of Elias Taylor and Comfort [42] Anderson. Joshua was living in 1717.¹

     Esther was born circa 1703 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Elias Taylor and Comfort [42] Anderson. She married William White circa 1720.² She married John Williams circa 1725.^3,4 Esther was living on 21 January 1743 at Accomack Co, VA.⁴

     Mary was born circa 1705 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Elias Taylor and Comfort [42] Anderson. She married John (51) Kendall circa 1721.^2,3 She married John Baldwin circa 1740.⁴ Mary was living on 21 January 1743 at Accomack Co, VA.³

     He was a planter of Somerset Co, MD, where he was a justice, 1713-25, and a member of the lower house of the Maryland Assembly, 1712-14, 1716-18, 1722-24, but about 1724 settled in Accomack Co, VA. William was born circa 1682 at Somerset Co, MD.² He was the son of Col. William Whittington and Esther (14) Littleton. He married Elizabeth 'Betty' Taylor before 1717.^3,1 William was living in 1717.⁴ William died on 25 March 1740 at Accomack Co, VA. William Whittington's estate was administered to his widow Betty Whittington on 25 Mar 1740. James Wishart and William Beavens were securities (Acc Co Orders 1737-44, p. 240).^5,1

     He was Samuel Davis, as Solomon Ewell, husband of Comfort Taylor a sister of Namoi (Taylor) Davis, named a Samuel Davis and Naomi his wife in his will of 30 Aug 1734 (Acc Co Deeds & Wills, 1729-37, vol. i, p. 386). On 4 Mar 1734/5, Samuel Davis' estate was administered to his widow Naomi Davis (Acc Co Orders, 1731-36, p. 147). Samuel was born circa 1695.
