     Cornelius was born on 13 September 1875 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was the son of Daniel B. Kelly and Malinda S. Churn. Cornelius died on 1 February 1945 at age 69.¹ His body was interred at Groton's Cem, Hallwood, Acc Co, VA.¹

Isaiah was named in his father's will on 22 October 1780 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a son Isaiah Kelly in the will of Timothy Kelly and was named heir at law at probate. It was noted that the 3 children that is now with me to have as much of the moveables as them that is gone from me, Isaiah Kelly & Anne Kelly. Evidently Isaiah & Anne were the oldest and had already moved out of the home..¹ He married Sophia 'Suffiah' Mears circa 1790. He made a will on 25 March 1814 at Accomack Co, VA.      Although she was shown as Tabitha C. Hinmon in her father's will and in her husband's will, it appears that she and her children all went by the name Clayton after her husband's death. According to Whitelaw, after she inherited the land from her father Thomas Kelly in 1784, records usually showed her husband George Clayton Hinman as simply George Clayton, but when he died in 1800 he signed his will George C. Hinman. His wife Tabitha survived him, and for reason unknown she and the children all took the name of Clayton, instead of Hinman. Tabitha was born circa 1750 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Thomas Kelly and Tabitha Tatham. She married George Clayton Hinman circa 1774.¹ Tabitha was named in her father's will on 23 January 1781 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as daughter Tabitha C. Hinman in the will of Thomas Kelly. She was given 1/2 of my land where I now live & 1/2 of my marsh on Guilford Creek. Kelly named George Clayton Hinman to be the Extr. of his will..¹ Tabitha was named in her husband's will on 22 December 1799 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as wife Tabitha Hinmon in the will of George C. Hinmon. Hinmon named his wife Tabitha and son Dennis C. Hinmon Extrs. However, Dennis Clayton (not Dennis Clayton Hinmon) qaulified as Extr. at probate. It seems that Tabitha and Dennis and her other son George all went by the named Clayton after this time..² She made a will on 9 June 1811 at Accomack Co, VA. It appears that Dennis and his mother Tabitha and his brother George all went by the name Clayton after this time..³

     Mary was born circa 1760 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Thomas Kelly and Tabitha Tatham. Mary was named in her father's will on 23 January 1781 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as a daughter Mary Kelly in the will of Thomas Kelly..¹ She married William Thornton Sr. (Guilford) circa 1783. After Thomas Kelly's death in 1784, a survey showed 180 1/2 acres which were divided, the northwestern half going to Tabitha, the wife of George Clayton Hinman, and the southeastern half to Mary, the wife of William Thornton. After the deaths of William and Mary Thornton, in 1845 a William Thornton sold his 1/4 interest in 94 acres to Littleton A. Hinman, and the next year Hinman bought the 3/4 interest of Nancy Thornton at public auction. This was part of Whitelaw's tract A111 on Guilford Creek..²
