She married John Lewis on 8 June 1822 at Accomack Co, VA. John Y. Bagwell was the security on the M.L.B. of John Lewis, widower of Thomas and Nancy Bull of William. Another record of 12 Mar 1822 shows him only as John Lewis Jr. and she as Nancy Bull..1 Nancy was listed with her daughter in the census of in 1850 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA. She was shown as Nancy Lewis, age 62 in HH#319 headed by Chas. Booth, a 26 year old farmer. Also listed was Betsy Booth, age 21, who was evidently her daughter..2 Nancy died on 5 May 1859 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as Nancy Lewis, who died of dropsy at the age of 61 years. She was born in Acc Co, a seamstress, and the wife of John Lewis. Chas. Booth, the head of family, gave the information..3

     His common name was Adam. Adam was born circa 1638 at Lower Norfolk Co, VA. He was the son of Capt. Adam (1) Thorowgood and Sarah (15) Offley. He married Frances (6) Yeardley circa 1660.2 He made a will on 31 October 1679 at Lower Norfolk Co, VA. He named his wife and children and directed that his executrix cause by body to be interred in The Church of Linhaven in the grave of my father and that she cause a tomstone of marble to be sent for with the Coate Armes of Sir George Yeardley and myself and the same inscription as upon the broaken tomb, and the same to be layed over my grave and the other over the grave of my mother..3 Adam died in January 1686.3 Adam's will was probated on 1 February 1686 at Lower Norfolk Co, VA.3
