Argoll Yeardley II was born about 1644. His guardian Thomas Ryding being out of the country, he chose John Custis as his guardian, 28 Jul 1664. He succeeded to his father's estate and, 23 Jan 1670/1, made a marriage contract with Sarah Michael. He was sheriff of Northampton County and died between 29 Aug and 1 Nov 1682, leaving a will written 3 Jan 1681/2. On 27 Nov 1682 the Virginia Council ordered that his papers be delivered to his widow Sarah (Adventurers of Purse and Person, p. 728). Argoll was born circa 1644 at Virginia.1 He was the son of Col. Argoll (3) Yeardley (I) and Frances Knight. He married Sarah (24) Michael on 23 January 1671 at Northampton Co, VA.2 He made a will on 3 January 1682 at Northampton Co, VA.2 Argoll died on 29 August 1682 at Northampton Co, VA.1,2 Argoll's will was probated on 2 March 1683 at Northampton Co, VA.2
