     Mr. William H. Matthews, an oyster dealer of Saxis, died on 7 May 1937 at home, aged 75 years. The funeral was 9 May 1937 conducted by Rev. J. Yancey Fincher and Wilmer. Burial was in the St. Paul Cemetery, Marion, MD. He was a member of the Saxis Baptist Church.
