     He retired from the Newport News Ship Building and Dry Dock Co in 1965. His funeral services were held at the Westhampton Baptist Church, Newport News of which he was a member.      William was born on 6 July 1896 at Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.¹ He was the son of James Poulson Cutler and Elizabeth Ann Taylor.
