Asa William Killmon lived at 37 Deep Creek Rd, Newport News, VA. Asa was born on 16 February 1913 at Westmoreland Co, VA.1 He was the son of Richard Franklin Killmon Sr. and Florence Mildred Smith. Asa died on 21 June 1996 at Riverside Hosp, Newport News, VA, at age 83. Asa William Kilmon, 83, who died on Friday, was a native of Westmoreland County and was a Peninsula resident for the past 45 years. He retired in 1977 from the Newport News Shipyard with 26 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Fonnie Blackburn Kilmon; two daughters, Elane K. Strange of Williamsburg and Luanne K. Myers of Newport News; one son, A. Kenneth Kilmon of Glouster; one sister, Della K. Rollins of Hague; one brother, R. Franklin Kilmon of Baltimore, MD; and seven grandchildren, Timothy, Daniel and Hannah Strange, Robert and Mary Kilmon, and Ginger and Gary Myers. Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. W. Joseph Winfree on Monday in Peninsula Memorial Park..2 His body was interred at Peninsula Mem Pk, Warwick, VA.2
