     Miss Marian Florence Taylor died at her home at Pocomoke City on 19 Feb 1993, aged 88 years. She was born in Grotons, the daughter of Samuel Henry and Lillie Bloxom Taylor. Survivors were listed (E.S. News, 24 Feb 1993). Marian was living at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.¹ Marian was born in 1905 at Grotons, Acc Co, VA.¹ He was the son of Samuel Henry Taylor and Lillie Florence Bloxom.      Lola Taylor Byrd, aged 84 years, wife of the late Brauddus F. Byrd, who died in 1960 and a resident of Pocomoke City, MD, died at her home on Saturday, 13 Aug 1994. Born in Grotons, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Henry Taylor and Lillie Bloxom Taylor. She would be fondly remembered by the many children she took care of in her Day Care Center that she operated in her home for many years. She was a former Nursey Worker and Sunday School Teacher for many years. Graveside services were held at First Baptist Cemetery, Pocomoke, Monday, 15 Aug 1994, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Philip Godwin. Survivors were listed (E.S. News, 20 Aug 1994). Lola was born in 1910 at Grotons, Acc Co, VA.² She was the daughter of Samuel Henry Taylor and Lillie Florence Bloxom.      Brauddus was born on 15 September 1904 at Worcester Co, MD.¹ He was the son of Alonza D. Byrd and Martha Florence Godwin. He married Lola Taylor circa 1930.² Brauddus died in 1960.³ His body was interred at First Bapt Ch Cm, Pocomoke, Worcester Co, MD.³

     Lennie was born circa 1893.² Lennie was living in 1911 at Assawoman, Acc Co, VA.² She married Royal Fletcher White on 1 December 1911 at Somerset Co, MD.²

Swift circa 1940.³ Carlton was a member of the armed forces serving at US Army, Pvt, World War II.² Carlton died on 18 March 1983 at age 70.² His body was interred at Downing's Cem, Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.²

     William Franklin Dennis Jr., infant son of Mr. & Mrs. William F. Dennis Sr., of Sanford, died at Memorial Hospital at Nassawadox on 6 Jan 1956. He was survived by his parents and grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Earl Dennis of Wattsville and Mr. & Mrs. Carlton White of Sanford (Pen. Ent., 12 Jan 1956).      Carlton was living at Wattsville, Acc Co, VA.² Carlton was born in 1916.³ He was the son of John H. Justice and Lula V. Whealton. He married Marie Perdue circa 1935.⁴ Carlton died in 1980.³ His body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.³

Northam of Pocomoke City died on 6 Apr 1957, aged 71 years, and was buried at Downing's Cemetery. He was the son of James and Pauline Northam, born and lived at Messongo. Survivors were listed (Pen. He was shown as Jams (heavy mark over) Northam, age 3 in HH#1290 headed by David Northam, a 31 year old farmer. This was probably the southern tip of Smith Island which was in Virginia..² James was listed with his parents in the census of in 1860 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.¹ He married Pauline East on 4 November 1869 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as James 'E.', age 23 and a farmer and she was shown as 'Caroline' East, age 19, the daughter of Mary Morehead. They were married by E.G.
