Betty Evelyn White, the infant daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Michell F. White of Grotons, died on Sunday, 8 Feb 1947, in Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox. Burial was in Groton's Cemetery.      The proof that he was a son of William and Charlotte (Taylor) Knight is based on being survived by a sister, Mrs. Cullen. This was Elizabeth A. Knight (1854-1933), a known daughter of William and Charlotte Knight by Acc Co birth records, who married John S. Cullen in Worcester Co in 1873. His 1872 Acc Co marriage record shows him as the son of William & Sally Knight. William was born in 1850 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was the son of William S. Knight and Charlotte Taylor. He married Margaret M. 'Peggy' Cullen on 1 February 1872 at Messongo, Acc Co, VA. He was a 22 year old merchant, shown as the son of William & Sally, and she was age 19. They were married by J. C. Reed..² William died on 4 September 1926. W. R. Knight died at his home at Belinda, aged 76 years and married for 55 years. He was survived by 4 daughters and 3 sons (all listed) and one sister, Mrs. Cullen. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. E.C. Wilmer at Hall's Chapel Church (E.S. News, 10 Sep 1926)..¹

     Andrew K. Knight died in car between Jenkins Bridge and Sanford on 14 Jun 1947, aged 64 years, with burial at Groton's Cemetery, survivors were listed (Pen. Ent., 27 Jun 1947). It is assumed that this is William A. Knight (1882-1947), h/o Mary R., buried at Groton's Cemetery. Conflicting evidence states that William was born circa 1876.² William was born in 1882.³ He was the son of William Royal Knight and Margaret M. 'Peggy' Cullen. He married Mary R. Northam on 11 February 1900 at Wicomico Co, MD.² William died on 14 June 1947.¹ His body was interred at Groton's Cem, Hallwood, Acc Co, VA.¹
