She married Jeremiah Jeter Savage on 27 February 1901 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Jermiah J. Savage, a 59 year old widowed farmer, born in Accomack Co, VA & living in Pocomoke City, MD, the son of Griffin & Mary Savage and she was shown as Mary E. Webb, age 18 and single, born & living in Worcester Co, MD, the daughter of John H. & Annie Webb. They were married by John B. Pruitt and the certificate was returned on 23 Dec 1901. (Note: It is curious that the certificate was returned almost a year after the marriage.).² She married William Hancock circa 1927.¹

Jeremiah was listed with his parents in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Jeremiah J. Savage, age 14 in HH#656 headed by Griffin Savage, a 53 year old farmer..² He married Mary Margaret Dennis on 19 May 1857 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Jeremiah J. Savage, a 23 year old farmer the son of Griffin & Mary Ann Savage and she was shown as Mary M. Wilkerson (widow of Solomon dec'd), age 23, born in Wor Co, MD, the daughter of Lemaul & Margaret Dennis. They were married by Thomas Waters and Wm. W. Selby said he was over age 21..¹ He married Mary Ester 'Manie' Webb on 27 February 1901 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Jermiah J. Savage, a 59 year old widowed farmer, born in Accomack Co, VA & living in Pocomoke City, MD, the son of Griffin & Mary Savage and she was shown as Mary E.
