She was the daughter Joe and Susie Jester Bernard and a member of the Guilford Methodist Church. Survivors were listed (Pen. Ent., 5 Feb 1959). In 1880 she is shown as "Lelia" b.c. 1875, in 1900 as "Lilia" born May 1870, in 1910 as "Lulia" b.c. 1875. Also in the 1910 Census Lelia A. (Martin) Linton was shown to have had 7 children with 5 living. Lelia was born on 6 December 1874 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA.¹ She was the daughter of William T. Martin and Georgiana Miles.      Mr. & Mrs. George Mister celebrated their golden wedding aniversary at their home at Saxis on 23 Oct 1945. Mrs. Mister was Miss Drucilla Martin and they were married at the home of Mr. Thomas Evans at Saxis. They have 10 children, who's names were listed (Pen. Ent., 26 Oct 1945). George was born on 4 December 1877 at Tangier Island, Acc Co, VA.¹ He was the son of William W. Mister and Rachel Jane Evans. He was baptized on 19 August 1878 at Tangier Island, Acc Co, VA.¹ He married Drucilla 'Sillie' Martin on 23 October 1895 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA. He was a 18 year old oysterman, the son of Wm. Since Reva (Marshall) Mister, daughter of Zanie and J.T. Marshall, died in 1926, she was not listed in her mother's obituary of 1961, but her 3 children were listed as grandchildren (Pen.      Tilton was born on 15 March 1918 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA.¹ He was the son of Harley Tilton Mister and Reva Marshall.      Mr. Allen Marshall of the US Army spent the weekend with his wife and other relatives at Saxis (Pen. Ent., 29 Jan 1943). Cpl. Edgar A. Marshall is the son of Mrs. Harvey Drewer and the late Carroll Marshall of Saxis, VA. He was inducted into the service 5 Aug 1942 (Pen. Ent., 14 Jan 1944). A poem written by his mother was included in the article. His common name was Allen. Edgar was born on 8 March 1921 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was the son of Carroll Lee Marshall I and Naomi Franklin Spence. Edgar was living on 16 January 1942 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA, (Selective Service).² Edgar was a member of the armed forces serving at US Army, World War II.³ He resided at, at Saxis, Acc Co, VA, in 1995. Edgar died on 2 July 2002 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA, at age 81. E. Allen Marshall, age 81, husband of Pauline Wessells and a resident of Saxis, died at his residence on Tuesday, July 2, 2002. Born at Saxis, Mr. Marshall was the son of the late Carroll Marshall and Naomi Spence Marshall. He was a retired well driller and founder of the Wayside Mission Church at Saxis. He also was a WWII Army veteran. Other than his wife, Mr. Marshall was survived by a daughter Maxime McCready of Saxis; two sons, Darrell Marshall of Saxis and Michael Marshall of Wakefield, Mass; a brother Carroll Marshall of Sanford; and three grandchildren, Christy McCready, Ryan McCready and Travis Marshall..⁴ His body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.⁴

     Alonzo was born on 16 April 1891 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was the son of John T. McCready and Artha Anna Marshall. He married Leona Polly Ewell on 4 January 1914 at MD-VA Line, Wor Co, MD.² Alonzo was living on 21 July 1917 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA, (Army Registration).³ He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1920 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA.⁴ He married Carletta Jane Mister on 6 June 1936 at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.⁵ Alonzo died on 29 March 1946 at Neilson's Shore at age 54. On the occasion of his parents 50th wedding anniversary, PFC "Orman" Mister was in the US Army in Korea (Pen. Ent., 26 Oct 1945).
