John Revell, Jr. vs Margaret & Edward Revell (in a Partition Suit) - That one Edward Revell, father of the said John, Margaret & Edward, was lately seized of and in the premises aforesaid as of fee, being a tract of land containing 1200 acres in the Parish of St. George & 1/2 of a water grist mill on Pungoteague Creek in the aforesaid Parish, and being so seized on the ____ day of Dec. 1791, departed this life intestate, leaving four children, to-wit: the said John and Margaret and Leah by one marriage, and the said Edward Revell, Jr., by another marriage, who entered into and became seized of the said land subject to the dower of the widow of the said Edward, Sr., and afterwards, to-wit: on the 23 Aug. 1793, the said Leah departed this life an infant under the age of 21 years, intestate and without issue &c. John S. Ker appointed guardian to the defendant Margaret & Thomas Parker guardian to the defendant Edward, who are infants, for the purpose of defending this suit - 23 Mar. 1803

He married Elizabeth (266) Ker circa 1793.4,5 William was named in a niece's will on 10 April 1807 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as uncle William Seymour and named Extr. in the will of Ann Revell Ker..6 He married Isabella (264) Ker on 29 August 1811 at Worcester Co, MD.7 William died on 24 October 1821 at age 48.3 His body was interred at Seymour-Snead Cem, Onancock, Acc Co, VA.3 William was named as an heir on 31 January 1825 at Accomack Co, VA. In the estate settlement of David Bowman, he was shown as William Seymour and received amounts as follows: Cash retained by William Seymour Extr. to John S. Ker for his 1/9 £115.17.5; cash retained by [William Seymour] committee to Hugh Ker for his 1/9 £115.17.5; cash retained by [William Seymour] as guardian to Edward S. Snead for his 1/9 in right of his mother £115.17.5; cash retained by [William Seymour] due himself in right of his wife for her 1/9 £115.17.5; to William Seymour one of the balance remaining of the houses & lots unconsumed agreeable to Mr. Bowman's will, said Seymour having intermarried with Mr. Bowman's widow who was entitled under his will to a child's part which was 1/3 £256.18.9; to George Bowman's 1/3 of the above entered to his credit with William Seymour his guardian £256.18.9; to David Bowman 1/3 (the son of David dec'd) entered to his credit with William Seymour £256.18.5. (Note: The settlement was finally recored on 31 Jan 1825, but the actual payment may have been years earlier, as David Bowman died in 1805.).8
