Henry was born circa 1767 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of John (Sea Side) (75) Custis and Esther Savage. He married Elizabeth Fletcher on 29 May 1810 at Accomack Co, VA. According to Mark Lewis' marriages, Thomas Edmunds was the security on the M.L.B. of Henry B. Custis and Elizabeth Fletcher dated 29 May 1810. Turman's marriages shows it as 10 May 1829 for the bond and another date of 20 May 1816 for the marriage of Henry Custis Sr. and Betsy Fletcher. Since Henry Bagwell Custis died in 1817, Mark Lewis version seems to be a better fit..2,3 Henry died on 29 December 1817.4
