There was another white male of that same age and another white female of that same age living with him. This was likely his brothers or sisters since his father had died in 1815 leaving many small children. There was 1 daughter under 5, possibly Sarah Ann, and 4 slaves. In 1840 he was 30-40 (actually 33) with a wife 40-50 (b.c. 1790-1800), 2 sons under 5, 1 son 5-10, 1 daughter 5-10, 1 daughter 10-15, 1 daughter 15-20, 1 other white female 30-40 (this could have been his wife with the older female a relative), 1 free negro and 3 slaves. There is some confusion about Peter Dennis Corbin Sr.'s twin sons. The 1850 Census shows Samuel T. and Caleb B., both born circa 1847. The 1860 Census shows Thomas H.B. and Henry A.W., both born circa 1847, but does not show Samuel T. and Caleb B. The only obvious solution is that the first set of twins died before the 1860 Census and the ages of the second set of twins were reported incorrectly in the 1860 Census. Maybe they were age 3 and not 13. His common name was Peter. Peter was born on 25 May 1807 at Accomack Co, VA.1 He was the son of Rev. Ralph Broadwater Corbin and Elizabeth 'Betsey' Dennis. He married Charlotte Milligan on 19 November 1828 at Accomack Co, VA. George Jenkins and Caleb Broadwater were the securities on the M.L.B. of Peter D. Corbin and Charlotte Milligan..2,3 He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1830 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA.4 He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1840 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA.5 Peter was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Peter D. Corbin, a 43 year old farmer with real estate valued at $4,000. Listed with him were the following Corbins: Charlotte, age 43; Sarah A., age 20; Elizabeth D., age 16; Ralph J., age 14; Charles W., age 12; Othelia W.F., age 10; Peter D., age 6; Samuel T., age 3; and Caleb B., age 3. Also listed was Sam Johnson, age 25 and black..6 Peter was living at Jenkins Bridge, Acc Co, VA.7 Peter died on 30 October 1875 at age 68.1
