He was shown as Henry Killman, a 25 year old sailor in HH#MT435 headed by Samuel Killman, a 53 year old farmer..⁵ He married Georgianna Gladding on 23 February 1871 at Muddy Creek, Acc Co, VA.¹ Henry died on 22 August 1929 at Bloxom, Acc Co, VA, at age 83.³ His body was interred at Parksley Cem, Acc Co, VA.³

     Samuel was born on 19 January 1819 at Accomack Co, VA. His tombstone at Bethel Baptist Church shows him as Samuel Killmon of J., born 19 Jan 1819. In his will he says he is Samuel of John. He is listed as Samuel of John and Nancy his wife in the Thorogood O. Kilmon family Bible. The dates in the Bible (1816) and on the tombstone (1819) are different by 3 years. Elane Kilmon Strange reports the tombstone birth as 19 Jan 1816, but Mary Frances Carey and Wayne Stith report it as 19 Jan 1819. The 1850 census puts his brith at 1815..^1,2 He was the son of John Henry Killmon and Nancy Parks. He married Nancy Riggs on 22 March 1841 at Accomack Co, VA. Joseph Riggs was the security on the M.L.B. of Samuel Killmon and Nancy Riggs. The T.O. Kilmon Family Bible shows they were married on 28 Mar 1841 at Guildford in the presence of William Thornton, signed Dr. R.
