     Eunice was born circa 1892. She was the daughter of John Thomas Anderton Sr. and Elizabeth Jane 'Lizzie' Stant. She married William Greenleif Bell on 12 August 1909 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA. He was a 26 year old oysterman born in Somerset Co, MD the son of F. A. & Mary Bell and she was age 18. They were married at Sanford Church..^2,3 Eunice was living in 1923.¹

     John was born circa 1894. He was the son of John Thomas Anderton Sr. and Elizabeth Jane 'Lizzie' Stant. John was living in 1923 at Newport News, VA.¹

     Gladys was born circa 1900. She married Russell Corbin Stant circa 1920.^1,2 Gladys was living in 1963 at Hampton, VA.³

     Mr. Lorenzo Kellam Chase, a farmer, died at his home at Hallwood on 13 Mar 1961, aged 88 years. He was the son of the late Teackle R. and Annie Elsie Byrd Chase. Survivors were listed (Pen. Ent., 16 Mar 1961). Lorenza was born in 1872 at Accomack Co, VA.² He was the son of Teackle R. Chase and Annie Eliza Byrd. He married Rozenia J. Trader on 28 December 1898 at Accomack Co, VA.³ Lorenza was living in 1951.¹ Lorenza died on 13 March 1961 at Hallwood, Acc Co, VA.⁴ His body was interred at Wessells Cem, Mears, Acc Co, VA.²

     Rozenia was born on 12 January 1877 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ She was the daughter of Osburn James J. Trader and Sarah Ann Marshall. Conflicting evidence states that Rozenia was born on 21 February 1877.² She was listed as a resident in the census report in 1880 at Accomack Co, VA.³ She married Lorenza Kellam Chase on 28 December 1898 at Accomack Co, VA.⁴ Rozenia died in 1964.⁵ Her body was interred at Wessells Cem, Mears, Acc Co, VA.⁵

     Lois was born on 20 February 1911 at Poulson, Acc Co, VA.¹ She was the daughter of Lorenza Kellam Chase and Rozenia J. Trader. She married Leland Thomas 'Wink' Evans on 11 March 1928 at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.² Lois was living in 1961 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA.¹ Lois died in October 1995 at age 84.¹

     Mrs. Erna Chase Godwin, wife of the late Thomas Edward Godwin, died on 15 Aug 1993, aged 87 years. Born and reared in Poulson, she was the daughter of the late Rozena Trader and Kellam Chase. Survivors were listed (E.S. News, 21 Aug 1993). Erna was born on 20 March 1906 at Poulson, Acc Co, VA.² She was the daughter of Lorenza Kellam Chase and Rozenia J. Trader. Erna was living in 1961.² Erna died on 15 August 1993 at age 87.¹

     Eugene Chase Martin of Saxis, aged 12 years, died 16 Aug 1939 at McCready Hospital in Crisfield of burns, survivors were listed (Pen. Ent., 25 Aug 1939). Eugene was living at Saxis, Acc Co, VA.¹ Eugene was born on 5 February 1927 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA.² He was the son of Parson Hobson Martin. Eugene died on 16 August 1939 at McCready Hospital, Crisfield, Som Co, MD, at age 12.¹ His body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.³

     Sonja Lee Evans, 54, wife of Homer Gerald Evans and a resident of Messongo for seven years, died in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD, on Monday, 7 Nov 1994. Born and reared at Sanford, she was the daughter of Helen Godwin and the late Woodrow Godwin. She was a housewife and practical nurse. She was a member of Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague. Graveside services were held at Downings Cemetery, Oak Hall, Wednesday, 9 Nov, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Mard Landon. Other than her husband and mother, Mrs. Evans is survived by 3 children, 2 sisters and a brother, all of who were listed, and several nieces and nephews, who were not listed (E.S. News, 12 Nov 1994). Sonja was employed at as a Practical Nurse. Sonja was born in 1940 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.¹ She was the daughter of Woodrow W. Godwin and Helen Tapman. Sonja was living after 1987 at Messongo, Acc Co, VA.¹ Sonja died on 7 November 1994 at P.G. Hospital, Salisbury, Wic Co, MD.¹ Her body was interred at Downing's Cem, Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.¹

     James was born circa 1878 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was the son of Major H. Stant and Cordelia J. Stant. He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1900 at Accomack Co, VA.¹

She was born and reared at Saxis, the daughter of Richard and Minnie Linton Evans, and a member of the Saxis United Methodist Church. Burial was at Downing's Cemetery. She was survived by 2 daughters and 1 sister, who were listed (E.S. News, 9 Feb 1994). Captola was born in 1910 at Accomack Co, VA.² She was the daughter of Richard Thomas Evans and Murcise A. 'Minnie' Linton. She was listed as a resident in the census report in 1920 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA.¹ She married George William Mister on 23 April 1927 at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.³ Captola was living in 1962 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA.⁴ Captola died on 2 February 1994 at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.⁵ Her body was interred at Downing's Cem, Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.²
