Humphrey Roberts

     Humphrey was born circa 1730. He married Ann (27) Eyre on 3 January 1759 at Northampton Co, VA. Humphrey Roberts was a merchant of Portsmouth who at the beginning of the Revolutionary War took his family to the Eastern Shore, joined Lord Dunmore and went to New York and then to London, but after the war returned to Portsmouth..1 Humphrey died on 19 December 1791 at Norfolk Co, VA.1

     Littleton Eyre was a merchant of N'hamp County in partnership with John Bowdoin and Isaac Smith, was a member of the House of Burgesses, 1742-61, and sold, 8 Dec 1739, 300 acres in Somerset Co, MD, which Southey Littleton had willed to his daughter Gertrude, who willed to her grandson. Littleton was born circa 1712 at Northampton Co, VA. He was the son of Severn Eyre and Gertrude (23) Harmanson. He married Bridget (18) Harmanson on 15 January 1734 at Northampton Co, VA.1 Littleton died on 26 June 1768 at Northampton Co, VA.1
