Henry Bagwell was named sole executor in the will of Ann Hawkins, widow of William Hawkins, 8 Nov 1646 - 11 Nov 1636, which also named (relationship not stated) Alice Bagwell overseer of will and gave bequests to Thomas Stratton and Richard Smyth, who were to share her plantation for four years, Mary Buckland, John Bagwell, Thos. Bagwell, Rebecca Bagwell and others. John Handy and Thomas Stratton were witness. William and Ann Hawkins had previously been assumed to be the parents of Alice Bagwell..1 Ann died in December 1648.1 Ann's will was probated on 6 January 1649 at Northampton Co, VA.1
