Elliott's Ledger Book, this marriage took place as supposed in year 1733. Their marriage was performed by a church parson. Mr. Elliott was brought up in the Episcopal Church in England and some of his ancestors were ministers of that order. They became as one by a marriage union, lived in loving friendship and raised a family of interesting children. Sons of the offspring yet remain of Elliotts, Bells, and Mearses. His wife was a lady of high esteem in Northampton County, a Miss Anne Wescott, a lady of some means and who proved to be a most excellent wife. This connection brought Thomas Elliott among the first families of Northampton. He was refined, handsome, and his manners took him amidst the best societies. She was shown as a daughter Elizabeth Lewis in the will of John Elliott..1 Elizabeth bought land on 31 December 1810 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Sally Elliott sold to Elizabeth Lewis, wife of Thomas 45 acres of land for $3 formerly belonging to our father which fell to us by death of our brother John Elliott, who is supposed to be death beyond the sea. It was bounded by the lands of John Bull (church), William Gibb and said Sally Elliott. On the same day, Elizabeth & husband Thomas Lewis sold Sally Elliott 30 acres of land for $3 with the same details as above. So this was evidently a land swap betweem sisters..2 Elizabeth died before 9 February 1815 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that her husband, Thomas Lewis of Richard, married Ann Kelly..3
