Drummond, a 22 year old sailor, the son of Constantine & Susan Drummond and she was shown as Eliz'th McCready, age 18, the daughter of Geo. R. & Eliz'th McCready. They were married by R.B. Beadles..¹ She married Robert Lee McCready on 20 April 1914 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Robert Lee McCready, a 43 year old widowed oysterman, the son of William & Lizzie McCready and she was shown as Sarah Elizabeth Drummond, a 49 year old widow, the daughter of Riley & Elizabeth McCready..² Sarah was living in 1946 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.⁴ Sarah died on 28 March 1950 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA. Mrs. Sallie McCready, widow of R. Lee McCready, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Levin W. White, Sanford, on 28 Mar 1950, aged 85 years. She was buried at the Drummond Cemetery at Sanford.      Lewis was born circa 1860 at Accomack Co, VA.² He was the son of Constantine Drummond Sr. and Susan Chesser. He married Sarah Elizabeth 'Sally' McCready on 2 February 1882 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Lewis W. Drummond, a 22 year old sailor, the son of Constantine & Susan Drummond and she was shown as Eliz'th McCready, age 18, the daughter of Geo. R. & Eliz'th McCready. They were married by R.B. Beadles..¹ Lewis died on 20 September 1912.³

     Constantine was born circa 1838 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was the son of William H. Drummond and Elizabeth (-----). Constantine was listed with his parents in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Constantine Drummond, age 12 in HH#810 headed by Wm. H. Drummond, a 64 year old carpenter..² He married Susan Chesser on 12 July 1857 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Constantine Drummond (no parents shown) and she was shown as Susan Chesser the daughter of Polly Chesser, who gave consent. James Taylor said he was over 21. Mr. Constantine Drummond of Sanford died at 1 p.m., 9 Dec 1922, aged 88 years and a retired oysterman. His wife, before marriage Miss Susan Bailey, died the same day at 6 p.m., aged 77 years. They both died of pneumonia. Survived by 3 sons, John, Manse, Constantine, Jr., 1 daughter, Mrs. Manie Marshall, 1 brother, Thomas..⁵

     Susan was born circa 1842 at Accomack Co, VA.² She was the daughter of John Fairfax 'Arfaxey or Faxy' Bayly and Polly Chesser. Susan was listed with her mother in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. She was shown as Susan Bayly, age 8, in HH#1000 headed by Fairfax Bayly, age 50. Also in this household was her mother Polly Chesser, age 46. Polly Chesser and Fairfax Bayly were apparently not married, as they had different surnames. Susan should have been shown as a Chesser, not Bayly..² She married Constantine Drummond Sr. on 12 July 1857 at Accomack Co, VA.      Cora was born in 1875 at Accomack Co, VA.³ She was the daughter of George Riley McCready Sr. and Sarah Ann Elizabeth Bell. She married Henry Allen Bull on 11 June 1899 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Henry A. Bull, a 24 year old oysterman, the son of Robert L. & Jane Bull and she was shown as Cora McCready, age 24, the daughter of George R. & Sarah E. McCready..^4,2 She married Elmer Lee Trader on 3 January 1915 at Accomack Co, VA.² Cora was living in 1950 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.⁵ Cora died in 1959.³ Her body was interred at Downing's Cem, Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.³

     When Millard McCready was initiated into the Rechabites, Atlantic Tent No. 14, on 2 Feb 1895, he listed his age as 20 (b. 1875), occupation as oysterman, residence as Belinda, and he was single. Millard Derant McCready died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. Frank Webb, at Laurel, DE, on 1 Jan 1942. Services were on 4 Jan at Sanford Methodist Church by Rev. Forrest with interment in the Feddeman Cemetery (since moved to Groton's Cemetery). Survivors included his widow, 1 daughter, 3 sisters, 1 brother, and 3 grandchildren, all of who were listed (E.S. News, 9 Jan 1942). Millard was born on 28 February 1876 at Accomack Co, VA.³ He was the son of George Riley McCready Sr. and Sarah Ann Elizabeth Bell. He married Alice C. Onley on 3 December 1899 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.      Lizzie was born circa 1905 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of Henry Allen Bull and Cora 'Miss Coot' McCready.

     Clifton was born on 17 May 1903 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was the son of Robert Lee McCready and Rosie Gertrude Smith. Conflicting evidence states that Clifton was born in 1904.² Clifton died on 11 January 1941 at age 37. According to his obituary, Clifton T. McCready was stricken with a heart attack at age 39. He was a brakeman for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He died Saturday at the home of Mrs. Gizella Kellett, of 946 Broadway, where he was a boarder. He had been employed by the railroad 17 years, worked on Friday and Saturday claimed his pay. He had not previously complained of illness. The body last night was shipped to Sanford, VA, home of the deceased's father, Robert L. McCready. The arrangements were handled by Thomas M. O'Brien & Son at direction of Superintendent of Identification John J. Rigney, who investigated the case. Another obituary provided the following information - "Heart Attack Fatal To Bayonne Man" - The body of Clifton T. McCready, 39 year old Pennsylvania Railroad brakeman, 126 W. 52nd St., Bayonne, is being speeded South for burial in the family plot in Sanford, VA, in accordance with the request of his father, Robert Lee McCready, who had been informed of his son's sudden death at his home early Saturday evening following a heart attack. McCready, who had been in the employ of the railroad 18 years, was a boarder at the home of Mrs. Gizella Kellett at the 52nd St. address. He had worked the 4 pm to midnight shift Friday and after he had his lunch Saturday went to the Gates Ave office in Jersey City to get his pay. According to Mrs. Kellett, he returned about 4 pm and complained of pains about the chest. When his discomfort continued he retired to his bedroom and about a half hour later, when he still was not relieved, Dr. Selig Brauer, of Jersey City, who had been in attendance upon him on several previous occasions, was summoned. The doctor arrived shortly before 5 but McCready had expired. Superintendent John J. Rigney, of the Homicide Bureau, assumed charge of the body and learning McCready was a native of Sanford, VA, he communicated with the police there and asked that his parents be notified. A few hours later came word it was desired the body be shipped to Sanford for burial in the family plot. At 9 last night the body was placed aboard a train at the Pennsylvania station in Newark. The Pen. Ent. also noted survivors (Pen. Ent., 17 Jan 1941)..³ His body was interred at Downing's Cem, Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.²

     Irving was born circa 1905.² He was the son of Isaac Adkins. Irving was living in 1932 at Princess Anne, Som Co, MD.²

Maurice was living in 1937 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.¹ He married Thelma May Manning on 1 September 1937 at Bloxom, Acc Co, VA.¹ He married Leta Bacon circa 1945.³ Maurice died on 6 July 2003 at Newport News, VA. Maurice Lynwood Drummond, 87, husband of the late Leta Bacon Drummond and a resident of Newport News, VA, died in Newport News on Sunday, July 6, 2003. Born in Sanford, Mr. Drummond was the son of the late Maruice Allen Drummond and Julia D. Marshall. He was a home appliance service technican and member of Sanford Methodist Church. A graveside service at John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery, Temperanceville, was held Friday, July 11, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Bob Reese officated. Mr. Drummond is survived by a nephew, Marvin "Sonny" Fisher Jr. of Pocomoke, MD; three step-grandchildren, Claudia Mann, Garland Harper, Thomas Harper; one great-niece, Deborah Hall Ward; two great-nephews, Gary Hall and Willard Dale Hale; and a cousin, Grave Marshall of Sanford. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. Etta Fisher and Mr. Jean Hall-Neice. Arrangements were made by Fox Funeral Home, Temperanceville..⁴ His body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.⁴

     Miss Etta Drummond of Sanford and Mr. Marvin Fisher of Atlantic were married 25 Dec 1927 (Pen. Ent., 7 Jan 1928). Etta was born on 28 December 1907 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.¹ She was the daughter of Maurice Allen 'Morris' Drummond and Julia Annie McCready. She married Marvin R. Fisher Sr. on 25 December 1927 at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.² Etta was living in 1937 at Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.¹ Etta died before 2003. She was shown as a deceased sister Mrs. Etta Fisher in the obituary of Maurice L. Drummond..³

     Marvin was born circa 1906.¹ Marvin was living in 1927 at Philadelphia, PA.¹ He married Etta Drummond on 25 December 1927 at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.¹

     Mr. Burleigh Marshall of Mearsville and Mrs. Julia Drummond of Sanford were quietly married on 27 Dec 1939 (E.S. News, 12 Jan 1940). The marriage records in Snow Hill show they were married on 21 Dec. John was born circa 1902 at Accomack Co, VA.² He was the son of John William 'John Bill' Marshall and Elisha Ann 'Alicia' Landing. He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1910 at Accomack Co, VA.² John was living in 1939 at Mears, Acc Co, VA.³ He married Julia Annie McCready on 21 December 1939 at Snow Hill, Wor Co, MD.³

     Winfred Bunting, son of Mr. & Mrs. Willie Bunting, died at the home of his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. W.W. McCready, last Sunday, 29 Sep 1916, aged 1 year and 4 months (Acc News, 6 Oct 1916). William was born on 27 May 1915 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.¹ He was the son of William Edward 'Willie' Bunting Sr. and Amriet Susan McCready. Conflicting evidence states that he died on 29 September 1916.² William died on 30 September 1916 at age 1.¹

     William was born on 17 December 1897 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.¹ He was the son of William Walter 'Tobe' McCready and Catherine Jane 'Kate' Churn. William died on 14 November 1926 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA, at age 28. William T. McCready, aged 28 years of Sanford, died on 14 Nov 1926. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery (J.W. Taylor), survivors were listed (E.S. News, 19 Nov 1926). Mr. Wm. T. McCready of Makemie Park, VA, died at the home of his parents, Mr. & Mrs. W.W. McCready at Sanford, Sunday night, following an illness of several months. He was an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad company, being located at Makemie Park. Funeral services were held at Sanford Methodist Church, Wednesday, 17 Nov, conducted by Rev. J.W. Reynolds, assisted by Rev. J.F. Cale. Pallbearers and survivors were listed (Pen. Ent., unknown date)..² His body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.²
