His common name was William. William was born circa 1750. He was the son of William (48) Christian and Keziah Johnson. He married Catharine (262) Ker circa 1775.2 He made a will on 9 November 1799 at Northampton Co, VA. I lend to my son William my 400 acre plantation, but if he should try to sell or die without heirs, then I give to my next eldest son living. If they both die then I give the land to my daughter Margaret Christian. To my son William my negro woman Bett and Candas, silver shoe buckles, and gold sleeve buttons marked "W.C." To my daughter Margaret negroes James, Sabrah, Nanny, Leah, and George, mahogany case of drawers, a large church Bible, silver shoe buckles that were her mother's, gold sleeve buttons marked "C.C.", and all her mother's juelry. To my sons John Christian and George Edward Christian the rest of my estate with the exception of 2/3 of the land rent until my son William is of lawful age. The money owed me from the estate of Edward Ker dec'd to go towards payment of my debts. Friend George Ker to supervise the estate of my son William until he is of lawful age. My friend John S. Ker to supervise the estate of my son John. Friend David Bowman to supervise the estate of my son George. My daughter Margaret to live with my kinsman William Seymour and he to oversee her estate until she is of lawful age. My daughter Margaret not to marry without the consent of Mr. & Mrs. Seymour. My friend George Ker Extr..3 William died in January 1800.3 William's will was probated on 10 February 1800 at Northampton Co, VA. It was in this year that David & Isbell Bowman, John & Margaret Finney and Euphamy Bowman sold land just north of Accomac which they had inherited from their mother Katharine Bowman who had inherited it from their father David Bowman, who in 1786 left everything to his wife Katharine..1 He made a will on 26 September 1805 at Accomack Co, VA. Addison to be sold & annual installments from the sale be set up to support my wife & children until my oldest child reaches 21 or my wife marries, if one of the children dies or the wife marries, the survivors get the remaining.
