     George was born on 14 July 1878 at Chincoteague, Acc Co, VA. He was the son of George C. Cherricks Sr. and Gazella Thornton. He married Susan 'Susie' Bunting circa 1900.¹ George died in 1963.² His body was interred at Greenwood Cem, Chincoteague, Acc Co, VA. His tombstone shows him as George C. Cherricks, 1878-1963, who is buried next to Susan B. Cherricks..²

     Ella was born on 2 August 1883 at Chincoteague, Acc Co, VA. She was the daughter of George C. Cherricks Sr. and Gazella Thornton. Ella died on 26 January 1893 at age 9. She died of measles & pneumonia at the age of 7 years and 6 months.. Her body was interred at Greenwood Cem, Chincoteague, Acc Co, VA. Her tombstone shows her as Ella M. Cherricks, who was buried near George C. & Gazella T. Cherricks..

     Emory was born on 22 February 1886 at Chincoteague, Acc Co, VA.¹ He was the son of George C. Cherricks Sr. and Gazella Thornton. He married Mary Elizabeth (-----) circa 1920.¹ Emory died on 12 April 1976 at age 90. According to Dr. Bill Burton, Emory lived in Berlin, MD and had 2 daughters who used to visit Chincoteague in the 1930-40's. He was in the Coast Guard and served on lighthouses in the upper Chesapeake Bay.

     John was born on 9 April 1894 at Chincoteague, Acc Co, VA.² He was the son of George C. Cherricks Sr. and Gazella Thornton. He married Elizabeth Delores 'Lula' Munger circa 1916.² He married Sadie Linder circa 1934.² John died on 10 February 1974 at age 79.² His body was interred at Greenwood Cem, Chincoteague, Acc Co, VA. Hist tombstone shows him as J. Allen Cherricks, US Coast Guard, World War II. His is buried next to Lula D. (1900-1933) & Sadie Linder (1905-1971) Cherricks. According to Dr. Bill Burton, Uncle Allen worked on Chesapeake Lightship for over 30 years and was married to his Aunt Sadie, who helped raise the children of Clarence and Esther Burton..²
