He married Eliza Ellen 'Lottie' Ellis on 30 December 1900 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as George W. McCready, a 20 year old oysterman, the son of William & Annie McCready and she was shown as Eliza Ellis, age 21, the daughter of James E. & Matilda J. Ellis..^4,1 George was on the in 1908 roll of the at Meth Ch, Saxis, Acc Co, VA. According to church records, Saxis Roll 1927, he transferred to Chertion..⁵ He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1910 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA.⁶ He married Emily Portlock Wise in 1929.⁷ George died on 4 December 1954 at Cherrystone, Northampton Co, VA, at age 74.
