     He was deceased by 15 June 1825, when Matilda Mason, widow of Bennet, was issued a bond to marry John Bayly (p. 10). Bennet Mason and wife Tinny/Matilda had at least two sons. Her father, James Mason died testate in 1823, leaving his property to daughter Tinny Mason and her son, James Mason (Wills 1823 - 1824, p. 318). This James Mason married Tinny/Matilda Jester by license of 25 August 1835 (Wor. Co. Mar Rec. 1795 - 1855, p. 125). They sold part of his inherited land in 1836 (Deeds 1835 - 1837, pp. 462, 268, and 583). On 10 October 1853, Bennet Mason and wife Sarah Ann, joined by Matilda Mason, "Widow of James, deceased", sold 9 acres of land that had been "devised to James Mason (brother of said Bennet) by James Mason whose will was recorded in 1823". Bennett was born circa 1792 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Bennett Mason and Nanny Rodgers Clemmons. Bennett was named in his father's will on 9 February 1808 at Accomack Co, VA.      Covington was born circa 1787 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Bennett Mason and Nanny Rodgers Clemmons. Covington was named in his father's will on 9 February 1808 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as the 3rd son Covington in the will of Bennett Mason Sr..1 Covington was the security on a M.L.B. dated on 17 December 1814 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Covington Mason and James Mason were the securities on the M.L.B. of Bennett Mason and Tinney Mason, daughter of Jas..2 Covington sold land on 5 October 1821 at Accomack Co, VA. No record can be found of Covington Mason having married. His name did not appear as head of a household in census records. No wife signed deeds with him in 1810, 1815, 1816 and 1821.
