     Moscoe was born on 15 October 1862 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was the son of Robert James Stant and Mary Chase. Moscoe was listed with his parents in the census of in 1870 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA.      According to church records, Victoria Stant was on the Pocomoke roll in 1898, 1900, 1905, 1908 and 1917. Mrs. Victoria Stant died at Sanford on 16 May 1943, aged 77 years, burial at Taylor Cemetery, survivors were listed (Pen. Ent., 21 May 1943). Services were at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Bonniwell, 18 May 1943 by Revs. Bryan and Bean (E.S. News, 21 May 1943). Victoria was born circa 1866.¹ She married Moscoe Garnett Stant circa 1882.^2,3 Victoria was on the in 1898 roll of the at Pocomoke Meth Ch, Grotons, Acc Co, VA.⁴ Victoria was living in 1939 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.⁵ Victoria died on 16 May 1943 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.¹ Her body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.¹

     Mabel was born on 27 October 1889 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ She was the daughter of Moscoe Garnett Stant and Victoria (-----). She married George Thomas Bonnewell on 9 April 1904 at Somerset Co, MD.² Mabel was living in 1939 at Grotons, Acc Co, VA.³ Mabel died in 1982.⁴ Her body was interred at Downing's Cem, Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.⁴

     George was born on 31 March 1882 at Accomac, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Geo. T. Bonnewell, the son of George P. Bonnewell, an oysterman living in Acc Co and his wife Matilda. His father gave the information..² He was the son of George Parker Bonnewell Jr. and Matilda L. Hall. He married Mabel May Stant on 9 April 1904 at Somerset Co, MD.³ George died on 1 September 1953 at Grotons, Acc Co, VA, at age 71. Mr. George Thomas Bonnewell died at his home at Grotons on 1 Sep 1953, aged 71 years. He was the son of George T. & Matilda Hall Bonnewell. Interment at Downings Cemetery. Survivors were listed (Pen.      Noah was born on 13 October 1876 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was the son of Noah E. Stant and Mary Ellen Miles. Noah died on 17 November 1878 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA, at age 2.      Sarah was born on 15 December 1881 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ She was the daughter of Major H. Stant and Cordelia J. Stant.      This John Stant's parents are unproven. There are 3 Acc Co marriage records of a John Stant, that could be this John Stant. He was not shown in the 1850 cenus in Accomack, Northampton, Somerset or Worcester Counties. He is listed in the 1860 Acc Census, age 44 and oystering, near Gilbert Stant, age 57. Pending other proof, he is being shown as the son of James Stant (bc 1795) who was married in 1816 and had a 10-15 year old male in his household in 1830. The age is a close match and all the other possible Stants parents in the 1830, 1840 and 1850 census have been eliminated as possibilities. John was born circa 1816 at Accomack Co, VA.² He was the son of James Stant and Nancy Christopher. He married Sarah Ann 'Sally' McCready on 2 July 1836 at Accomack Co, VA. Other information indicates that she may have been a sister of Smith Cutler. Margaret was born circa 1817 at Accomack Co, VA. She was the daughter of James Bull and Polly Grinnalds.
